- To invite someone to send you a Messenger chat, get your username link from your profile and copy it to your clipboard.

Share the link with others. Paste the link anywhere, like in a chat on Discord or in an email, where others can see the link and click it.

- Use this method to invite a friend on Facebook to join a conversation in a Messenger group or community. They won't be able to join community chats if the community is private and they aren't in the community.

Open the chat you want to invite your friend to. It can be a specific chat with someone else or a public community chat.
- Tap the three-line menu icon to open the side menu and quickly find your community chats.

Tap the name of the chat. If the chat is a group you made, it'll be the names of everyone in the conversation.

Tap Invite/Add. You'll see it under the image for the chat.
- The button will say "Add" if you're adding people to a group chat, and "Invite" if you're inviting friends to join a community chat.

Select who to invite. Select names under "Community members" or tap "Facebook friends" to see a list of suggested people to invite, including non-members of that community.

Tap Add/Send. It's in the top right corner of your screen.
- This will say "Add" if you're adding someone to a group chat. You'll see "Send" if you're sending an invite to a community chat.[1]
